So what? When any project is complete, those jobs end - whether it be a public or private project. Should we let the bridge crumble because once it's finished, it's...uh...finished?

Small business are the backbone of job creation get out of there way and let them create wealth, for themselves and others. Doing infrastructure work is great when it can be done during good times but doing it at the expense of our children so we don't have to face the truth that Americans overspent, and now are enslaving the future of our children by proping up the economy that will correct itself sooner or later - robbing peter to pay paul doesn't work.

Keep repeating this, and maybe even you will believe it. How can private enterprise create anything if there are no roads and bridges to transport goods?

Its been that way for quite a while. Charlotte always seems to get less than the eastern part of the state. Most of the power has lied in the east for a long time.
