I was reading the WSJ today and came across this very interesting article. Although, I am not a big fan of Rove and the Bush administration, he makes some valid points! Please read and comment!
You should probably edit this down; it'll get mod cuts due to copyright violation.
On topic, meh. Karl Rove isn't even on the radar at this point. I'm going to wait to see how some of this stuff washes out. All spending is not pork, and earmarks are, to a large degree, how infrastructure gets built.
Here it comes - there will be no response to the argument, but a long series of insults to Rove, Bush, Cheney, Haliburton etc.
Perhaps that's because Mr Rove isn't in a good position to offer "constructive" criticism on the effectiveness of someone else's governance, in view of the disasters resulting from his own turn at the wheel.

Really getting Bush reelected while so hated. I would call that pretty effective. Thats just me. I get so sick of this junk like Bush ran the entire federal gov himself and the houses have no part in this what so ever Just Bush
Hate Rove for his actions or whatever but the man knows politics

His points were not about effectiveness. Either you didn't read it, or you're choosing to do as I predicted.
Having actually read this piece, there is not one thing new written here that hasn't already been discussed at length on this forum. Karl, see you when you give testimony concerning your former employer.
