When I first heard about AIG the first thing I thought about was how blatantly disrespectful and arrogant a move it was for the company to give the go ahead regarding these bonuses. Then as I thought about it some more, I came to the realization that they (AIG) are a product of the United States of America, and as such, are exercising it's learned behaviors. In other words the same way America became one of the richest Country's in the world (at the expense of the less fortunate), is the exact way AIG has chosen to operate it's business.
It's always been the "American" way to profit off of the backs of others, why should AIG be any different?
