After listening to a blithering idiot for the past 8 years, who could barely speak coherently, we get to listen to a dignified and eloquent President like the one who came before the idiot frat boy George W. Bush.

Thank goodness.

I'm always reassured after hearing him speak. Seems like a pragmatic guy to me. And a total breath of fresh air....AHhhhh....

It can get distressing listening to all the B.S. on various internet forums about this, that or the other going on. everything seems so dramatic and extreme.

Just listen to the man himself and make up your own mind I say.

If I had a dollar for every time he said 'uh uh um uh um' I'd be rich.

Agreed.

Obama is very thoughtful in his speech and word choice.

It is VERY refreshing to have an intellectual in the White House and not a six shooter, gun slinging, smoke 'um out cowboy like George W!

You guys said that during the campaign too...look how far it got ya. You won't get anywhere with that line of attack now either.

I thought it was a fine speech, a president with some actual brains speaking like an adult...in sharp contrast to the stupid frat boy we had to endure the past 8 years.

He does speak well in between each 'uh uh um uh'.

My thoughts exactly!!!

When Bush spoke, I would often cringe - fearing he would say something stunningly STUPID...

Remember his press conference when he went into 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice.... mmm.......mmmmm.... no one wants to be fooled by a fooler...'...

My GOD, I was almost shrinking away in embarassment for the guy - I actually felt sorry for him that night...
