I can't believe anyone would actually want to hold a vigil in honor of this sad excuse for a human. Lovelle Mixon killed four, yes FOUR policemen during a traffic stop AND he's linked by DNA evidence to the rape of a 12-yr-old girl. He was out on parole after serving five years in prison on an assault with a deadly weapon charge. He was currently in violation of his parole when he was stopped in his car, and decided to take the lives of four police officers.
Complete scum, yet people are lauding him and his behavior. How far we have sunk as a race that we have fellow humans that condone despicable actions like his.

Who should go straight to the Soylent Green factory? I'd nominate whoever came out for that event. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that there weren't but just a couple of people there without a criminal record.

Only for folks who've been looking for an excuse, anyway. The actions of a few black people don't speak for all people of color any more than the actions of a few white yahoos speaks for all white people.
Speaking of, has anyone seen In Bruges? When this drunk actor (who's also a.... little person... it's a crazy movie) starts going on and on about a race war, Colin Ferrell (in the only thing he's ever done that's worth seeing) declares that he's fighting alongside the Black people.
"Who are the Vietnamese with?"
"They're with the BLACKS, man!"
"Oh, well then I'm definitely fighting with the blacks."
Telling what? That justice is supposed to be blind? "Particularly if the victim was black" as in-- how can you possibly accuse me of being a racist or favoritism when both parties involved were black??? It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation based on your pretzel logic.

There's been a lot of thuggish behavior by police across the country so maybe people are getting sick of the corrupted police and thus, they are doing the vigil for the "cop killer"....
Just on the news today...
After a beat down in an elevator, Joshua Daniel Ortiz ended up with his nose broken and facing a charge of battering a Fort Lauderdale police officer. The 22-year-old Sunrise man was surprised and delighted to learn Wednesday that Broward prosecutors were dropping the case against him after reviewing an elevator surveillance video showing three officers aggressively rush and beat Ortiz to the ground.
Once the Dec. 5 video surfaced, it altered the course of the case. It contradicted police reports that Ortiz provoked and attacked Officers Derek Lade, Stefan Silver and Steve Smith.
But of course, the crackerjack investigation of the police somehow missed all of this:
Fort Lauderdale police internal affairs investigators reviewed the incident more than a month ago and found no violations of policy or procedures, said Sgt. Frank Sousa, the department's spokesman. "It was not a beating," Sousa said. "The video clearly shows that [Ortiz] made a movement toward the officer."
What is happening? It dying before our eyes in every way, shape and form.
