There is nothing left worth fighting for in the United States. The federal government created campaign finance as a means of keeping the average citizen from running for office. You now need attorneys to process the hundreds of pages of federal applications before running for office. Those attorney fees can cost in the tens of thousands of dollars. Our representatives listen to big business and force us to pay high taxes so we can bail them out when they fail. We fight wars for big oil in which our government has no clear method of winning. Tens of thousands of U.S. workers have lost their jobs due to outsourcing and now we are dealing with the invasion of foreign workers. We are loosing our homes, our cars and the good credit which we built is being destroyed. Why does anyone care about this country? Do you think Washington or Jefferson would have wanted this? When is the next civil war going to start so we can get rid of the tyranny which has infiltrated our government?

All you can do is vote and get active. Stop letting the "news" media define the debate. Turn off the AM radio and do your own research using the most objective sources you can to learn what is going on.

It's an uphill battle I know...but the internet is changing the rules of the game.

P.S And forget about 3rd party runs...Our system is not designed for that to work..You must improve on one of the two parties from the inside out. Get rid of bad candidates in your own party during primaries.

Why do you think gun sales are through the roof ? Have you been to a gun show lately? There is usually an hour wait just to get in the door and ammo is becoming hard to find due to hoarding.

People are getting fed up.

But luckily we have another election in just 3 1/2 years.

Excellent idea--Turning off AM radio was one of the best things I ever did--changed my outlook quite a bit. May I recommend the BBC?

I wish I could believe you but both parties care little for the rights of the common citizen. Our vote means so little because each party has their own agenda.

I dunno about America..but the Europeans are sure making their voice heard ahead of the G20.

This article says up to 15,000 are in Hyde Park demonstrating.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/f...-of-talks.html

which then grew to 35,000
G20 protest: Thousands march for 'jobs, justice and climate' | World news | guardian.co.uk

And mind you..the G20 hasn't happened yet and they are thousands strong.

Ah..here's where the G20 was here in Washington last November 2008.
A whooping "about 10" showed up.
Washington Times - Many G-20 protests but few protesters

There will be no uprisings in America. We'll sit on the couch and passively let our government take over our lives.

Guns sales are going through the roof because most Americans are plain ignorant....LOL When you are ignorant ...you get scared..Conspiracy theories and scary storylines are then brought up to take advantage of your stupidness. I'm sure the gun industry and the GOP are very happy with this arraingement.
