Does private property and ownership cease to exist? How does one plan to address the deficit? What are your thoughts on our centrally planned monetary system? Tax rates? Proper allocation of capital? Social Security/Medicare unfunded liabilities? Corporate subsidies? Farm subsidies? Coercive power of government? Civil liberties? Can civil liberties even exist if bureaucrats are in charge of your everyday actions?

Ownership can NEVER cease to exist, it just goes underground. You just have to make your assets hidden and mobile. Physical gold is extremely powerful as it provides huge purchasing power in an easily hidden, mobile and nontaxable form of ownership.

There are many "schools" of socialism, so you can get hundreds of answers.

P.S. Marxism is a form of socialism, but not all socialists are Marxists.

Libertarian socialism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
In rejecting both capitalism and the state, some libertarian socialists align themselves with anarchists in opposition to both capitalist representative democracy and to authoritarian forms of Marxism.

You do understand that wiki is not a reliable reference since anyone can alter it right?
Kind of like depending on the shifting sands to tell you today where the beach is next month.

Honestly, I'm starting to think the extreme left would like EVERYONE in the country to turn all properties, investments, companies, holdings, ownerships and savings over to the goverment. In turn we all get an allowance of an equal amount, a two rooms apartment, allowed one child, and given a uniform with a patch.

NO competition, no reason to produce more than you neighbor or make anything more than a passing grade.

Insert the chip, I'm done.

I would be interested in a leftist answering the OP honestly,it would help to try and understand their position....

Of course maybe that is why no leftists have answered the OP....

Like I said: Black-and-white worldview. An inability to imagine something else.

In a true barter system, gold is of no use.

Guns and ammo are worth more.
