Doesn't get any clearer than that.

Deregulation was led by (R) Phil Gramm and his GOP supporters. Being able to babble off a few Dem names doesnt mean anything other than what we all on this forum know.....Yes there are bad Democrats!!..LOL

He was picked by McCain to be his economic advisor!! He's front and center as the sort of person the GOP would bring to the table if they got elected again.

Which tells me that democratic presidents should stop worrying about reaching out to the other side of the aisle.

Clinton signed alot of things pushed by the GOP Congress...He certainly didn't lead or push for deregulation..His record in Office was one of give and take with right wing legislation....Clinton shouldn't have caved into right wingers....like Obama shouldnt cave to right wingers....What's your point?

again - look at your constitution - legislative branch - they legislate - presidents don't lead legislation.

My point is still this ----- is this Obama's presidency yet? - or is it Bush's still?

If you boast about his approval ratings, then are they truly his or Bush's as keeps asserting the he has inherited everything.

That's just untrue. Presidents by their power of veto are a defacto player in the formation of legislation from the very beginning. The majority in Congress takes their views into account when writing bills. That's just a fact. Clinton had a bill before him that was a give and take among the competing interests in Washington...he made a mistake and signed a bill that included some very bad decisions in deregulating Banking.....that legislation was pushed by the GOP and their corporate supporters.

That is why I love the constitution. It doesn't go by your definition of 'facts' - it is law...separation of powers. Which again is why it is stupid to rail against 'Bush' or 'Clinton' ---- or continue to say the failed policies of the past when (1) we have elections every two years and (2) as a collective they are ALL responsible ---but the sheeple simply repeat what their favorite 'team' says.

Now you wish to beat your chest because your 'team' is on top - very similar to the morons on the right.

I lean right but can't stand stupidity and blind faith folks --- on any side ----who simply repeat what they hear without any independent thoughts as to what is going on or how we got here.

Bush bashing is really suave now---ok----I am fine with that - but stop beating the drum and now open your eyes to what is happening now and realize that the effects of what is happening now will not be realized until PBO's 8 years are over or near the end. Do some homework - the Reagan policies beared fruit in the 90's - Clinton beared fruit in the 2000's - when will bush be felt? - When will PBO be felt?

....don't start - with the exception of 2007-2008 - not many sheeple complained about cheap fiancing for cars and hosues...
