I know that this will probibly tick a few people off, but I really don't care.

I am for Stem Cell Research and I hope our President sees through and past the religious clouds and funds the research. Thank God for California for not letting a handful of people sway thier views and continuing its research despite what that idiot Bush tried to do.

If anyone has had or has a loved one suffering from a medical problem that the Stem Cell research may help, I would love to hear your story.

My Mother lived with a brain tumor that this reseach could have helped, but after 38 years and a hard fight, she is gone now. I love and miss you Mom .

If you don't have a loved one that this research could have helped and you just want to talk possotive about it, please do. But, if you just want to rant, preach and talk negative about the reseach, please start your own tread.

Well, you can clone anybody now, as long as they weren't cremated.

Stem Cell research funding was never stopped on the Federal Level. Quite the opposite as a matter of fact.

The objection was related to EMBRYONIC stem cells.

Check out your facts.

My brother is very ill, suffering for many years from a neurological disease that one day may be treated by stem cell therapy. Bush shamefully but effectively froze the research for eight years by vetoing the will of the American people (and I'm not a Dem). He hurt many people by his extreme right wing unbending social ideology.

I'm all for science and am glad that our new president has resumed federal support for embryonic stem cell research. I see no harm in using a speck of material in a lab dish that is headed for the incinerator anyway, but the fascist evangelicals on the far right defined the use of these cells as "abortion" and hoodwinked millions of Americans against it while fleecing "believers" of their money and votes. What a sham. What a laughing stock Bush and the fundies have made of our nation.

The sad part about all this is, when one of the people that are against this type of research have a bad medical problem, that this could help. they would be the first ones to Jump at getting that help for themselves or a family member.

I have a neurological disorder that is slowly destroying my quality of life. I am hopeful that a treatment can be found to stop the progression.
