The companies who borrowed govt money are obliged to pay it back, though. The government agreed to pay Halliburton what it asked.

Yeah sure, those billions in 'toxic' loans are drained of profit, and will never be paid back.

My 401k lost 25% of it's value in the fourth quarter of 08 alone. The thieves who took that money didn't have to wear masks or brandish any weapons.

Since I am in my twenties, I will be paying for the stimulus bill and the Obama budget. Most likely until I am dead. I am not optimistic that the stimulus bill is going to stimulate anything. The Bush stimulus bill didn't work.

GM borrowed money twice. What will they do if GM declares bankruptcy..make the UAW pay it back ?

That money is as good as gone IMO.

Only the bank 'robbers' are the bank CEOs. That 'lost' money went to pay their billions in salaries and bonuses - don't you feel better now?
