I'd gladly use my real name accept it was changed by the U.S. Army in 1918 when my grandfather enlisted to fight for the United States. He was not yet a citizen but loved his adopted nations. He paid the price for citizenship and our family name.

BTW/FYI - my wife is half Syrian. My FIL and his relatives are all fluent in Arabic, and the family has been devoutly catholic since a hundred years before his Father left Aleppo.

They had many Muslim friends until a Holy War was declared by some Imam around 1927. Grandpa Jameel (Jimmy) went to the Muslim butcher (who was also from Aleppo)where he had always shopped and was told to leave the store or he (the butcher) would have to kill him because of the war. He never did quite understand what all that was about since both of them were in America, but he did find a Christian butcher.

You should learn the difference between Arabic and Muslim. They are not interchangable.
Also wanted to add, where did I make any mistake between Muslim and Arabic in that post? I made explicit distinctions between the two and I did not say that the President was Muslim himself.

Then exactly what was your implication by this post, if not to suggest that President Obama is a Muslim?

So much for being proud of your Muslim name. Just wich he was proud of the white party of his family that raised him as opposed to only focusing on the black Muslim part of his family that abandoned him.

Actually, it's hard to pin down, exactly. Cuebald is the long-lost direct descendant of Piers Ploughman, the quintessential Everyman.

A cuebald is probably the most irresistable character of the last twelve centuries. All brain and sex appeal, a heart-stopping singer, a romantic poet, a gourmet cook, an avid listener, and a victim of my own popularity.

Yes, Genteel Heart, would that you could see to pity all that remains of a swain who once towered six feet four inches with auburn curls and eyes the color of snowmelt lakes in the High Sierras, after the ladies finished with me. I committed the grevious error of going out one morning without my club to keep the ladies at bay, and though I fought valiantly, there were just too many of them for me to prevail.

All that remains are brains and legs, with a jaunty moustache.

But you know what? That's still more than enough. When you got it, you got it, regardless of how you look.

It's pretty apparent when you're not afraid to acknowledge his Muslim heritage.

The topic is people not proud of their name.

It is posted as if there is no such issue among liberals.

The President used his lackeys to attack people who used his middle name during the campaign.

His fear was that a correlation of his name to Islam my cause an association to Muslim terrorists and thus a negative result at the polls.

Then, once he becomes president-elect, he suddenly decides it's OK to use his name.

When you tell a liberal that he has a Muslim name, they pretend he does not.

They disregard the fact that his father was Muslim.

They disregard the fact that Muslim men give their children names associated with their faith.

Instead of admitting such a simple fact they pretend it's merely an Arabic word with some cute meaning,

They disregard the fact that there are thousands and thousands of men named Hussein not because it's "pretty" but because Hussein was a holy Muslim prophet.

So here we have liberals, blinded by their bias, wanting to make fun of conservatives supposedly ashamed of their name while they ignore how ashamed the President was of his own name until he secured the Presidency.

Instead of realizing that their being hypocrites, liberals are trying to rush and martyr themselves for their messiah.

The man's father was a Muslim. The man associates himself with that side of the family for the political expedience of calling himself black though it's the part of the family that abandoned him. He forsaked those who actually sacrificed for him to raise him but they were white and that doesn't buy votes.

And re: that horribly transliterated stuff earlier...

لِيَأْتِ مَلَكُوتُكَ! لِتَكُنْ مَشِيئَتُكَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ كَمَا هِيَ فِي السَّمَاءِ!

If he isn't Muslim, then why post at all? It makes no difference to anyone.

And if he were a Muslim, So What?
