The religious right has wayyyyyyy more clout and power than the itty bitty fringe movement eco 'terrorists' ever had.

In fact calling them terrorists is a misnomer as they don't kill innocents to 'terrorize' the populus but destroy property....at least to my knowledge.

Really? Lets list what laws Obama and the Democratic Congress is suggesting be put into place due to the religious "clout" and then we can name the ones from the eco "terrorists".. I guarantee you that your wrong because I cant name one for the fringe right but the left I'd need a computer to count..

In my case, having 5 passengers is COMMON place - PLUS their gear.

Also - the Smart can be dangerous. There have been a number of accidents where they were literally blown off the road during periods of very high winds mixed with rain.

This is the bait and switch tactic that's destroyed the credibility of the Republicans. "Eco-terrorists" are a handful of people like ELF. They have no legislation pending before Congress. Suggesting that the environmental legislation before Congress is the work of "Eco-terrorists" makes one of two things happen

1) Convinces everyone that you are incredibly stupid
2) Convinces everyone that you think everyone else is incredibly stupid.

Neither wins elections.

I agree. What is everyone reading that talks about the political power of eco-terrorists? I mean, how many people are involved in this movement, 500? Yet the religious right infiltrates school boards to force their views, overtly preaches politics in church, substitutes real issues with emotional wedge "issues" that affect those they hate. This is a no brainer. I actually support eco-terrorists provided they save animals without killing people. But the religious right? C'mon. Gather the torches and force them off the cliff.
