I'm a believer in the Bible, although I don't live my life according to the Bible. However, religion doesn't have a role in shaping my political views, as I don't believe I should speak in the name of those who don't share my religious views.
Believer..isn't Christian in my situation. Many of us have a personal philosophy that shapes how we view the government, and what we feel it ought to do to make the quality of life optimum for all living things. When it strays into degrading the quality of life, we simply don't wish to make it easy for them to use us as wallets, and doormats.

Though my intention was that believer would be related to a mainstream religion and not personal philosophy, fair enough if you want to consider it a religion.
I'm a Deist, and I do vote some on religious issues.
Not my religious issues, I don't want to force anyone to do anything because I believe its right or wrong. I vote on religious issues, when asinine politicians say that creationism should be taught in grade school, and when they base their moral laws on their religion.
Religion should be left out of politics, but as long as its in there, I'll vote against it.
Religion needs to stay away from me and every I encounter.
