"Underground"? Wooo, that sounds soo subversive! Alas, unless you are into Nazi rock, "underground" culture is produced by liberals, too.

Well, now I don't know how NYC has anything to do w/movies. And you (not you redisca) understand that even smaller studios are still....hollywood. How do you think they're getting financing? I find it completely unbelievable that you have cut yourself off of entertainment.

wow, thats interesting to know that you've polled each and every conservative and they didn't mind paying $5 at the pump just so EXXON could make record profits. So when the gas prices continue to go up, again conservatives will be more than willing to contribute to EXXON's CEO's money bag.

Or you can actually appreciate NYC, San Francisco, the woods of Mississippi, the coast of New Hampshire, The Great Smoky Mountains, Wall-South Dakota, Yellowstone and Glacier Bay for their own unique grandiose and majesty. To say that NYC is a cesspool without any excitement Moderator cut: No personal attacks, insults, or flaming I hate New York based sports teams, cannot stand the ESPN NY-Centric broadcasting and how movies tend to think that NYC is the only important city, but NYC is an amazing place with more culture than most of the countries in this world have in all their treasure troves. Broadway, the underground scenes throughout the city, the art, Harlem (and its rennaisance), some of the best art museums in the world, and more cultures to experience in a smaller area than you can anywhere in the world.

Even LA has its merits. It's polluted, full of traffic, has a shallow lifestyle, but it's also the source of inspiration for many people in this country. Say what you will about the hollywood ending, it has helped many people make it through life. Those people who worship hollywood would simply be worshipping religion if not for the influence of movies and TV. They are sheep regardless.

Moderator cut: No personal attacks, insults, or flaming I could care less what the price of gas does. people should thank exxon. their tax revenue alone funded the department of education.

The only two major industries (because ExxonMobil has a 10% profit margin, higher than others in the same sector) that have higher profit margins than Oil and Gas are Banking and Pharmaceuticals.
Banking isn't the source of any headaches in this country...no, not at all.
And this country has no problems with the costs of pharmaceuticals or the costs of healthcare on business owners. RIIIGHT.
