That may be (or have been) but what better way to 'hide' one's homosexuality than with a heterosexual marriage? Or do you not understand that that is why, even now, we have married men and women "coming out" as gay/lesbian after 10, 15, 20 and even 30 year marriages?

Anti gay folks love to say how unnatural anal sex is between two men yet it's pretty much accepted in the straight community. Straight porn sites have a ton of male on female anal videos. Huge double standard. If anal and oral sex are a sin, then admit it's in both communities. Straight anti gay folks can't admit they are being sinners of the same degree if they are partaking in either activity (or having sex outside of making babies). Don't be a hypocrite and accept it in one community but not the other.
Leviticus 18:22 is what everyone's been hearing, but the "Sodom and Gamorrah (spelling error??) story tells us it is a sin.

Even reading several verses before and after that one, there is no mention whatsoever of ANY 'sexual sin'. They were selfish and lazy and they treated visitors like crap. But they were NOT homosexual or 'masterbaters'.
I grew up in a society where some of the teens I was in school with would set up "gay bashing parties" and go hunting. The local cops did nothing about it. I experienced gay bashing even though I am not attracted to men.
I am familiar with like issues myself, though it was not "gay bashing", rather "nerd or loser bashing" to which we had to contest with. There has always been thugs of this nature, the target of their behavior is simply an excuse to do what they were going to do anyway. /shrug

So your assessment of the heterosexual communities habits is to use pornography as evidence? That community is not an accurate representation of heterosexual behavior.

No, it was an example of the bigger whole. The majority of the anti gay crowd are hypocrites because they are doing a whole bunch of sinning in their lives. People fall to temptation, but in no way does this mean it is accepted. If you think nobody says anything about adultery being wrong, then you are ignoring the facts to promote a concept. Isn't the church remarrying divorced individuals, many that have committed adultery, condoning the behavior? They do it over, and over, and over again. Why condone one and condemn the other? Both should be condemned or both should be accepted....not a split.

When you say "The Church", what do you mean?
There isn't one big umbrella of authority in terms of doctrine and so naturally, the actions of these do not represent all. Their actions do not negate the issue, it merely negates them.
