Internet streams of TV content are now common. ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Comedy Central and
Discovery all provide internet viewing of their content.

For "news" channels, however, content is mostly limited to "clips" and not "live" broadcasts.
CNN does stream "CNN International Live" but even that is frequently "not available".

For those away from their TV who want a "live" news stream, there are few options.
The link below does provide viewing of both Fox News and CNN (but not MSNBC) live.
The quality is not that great (especially in fullscreen mode) but in a pinch ...

Live TV News - Fox News / CNN (http://tinyurl.com/livetvnews - broken link) - click on "Change Channels"

Who the hell cares? Anyone that can't live without being in touch with the so called world is an idiot.

The link is obviously not meant for you. We wouldn't want to take any time away from your favorite name-calling hobby.

OTOH, there are those who might find it useful:

1) those away from their TV but want to check current news, especially during an important event like the 9/11 attack

2) Europeans and foreigners without access to American TV news but curious about what the wacky yanks are viewing

3) those with basic cable or no cable TV without CNN or Faux News

4) other places/offices/times where TV viewing is not an option
