Two Pakistani officials beheaded by Taliban today.

I guess they didn't get the Obama memo. Obama needs to understand you do not and cannot talk to or negotiate with them.

I heard this story on that horrible Fox station just a few minutes ago.

I would suggest that one of the old weapons of Viet Nam days, the daisy cutter bomb, needs to be used in that part of Pakistan. Also, flying some B-1s with the huge bombs over might work. Well maybe not, since they believe in revenge with an equal number of good guys getting killed in response.

They must be killed or driven out because they are just too close to the storage facilities for Pakistani nuclear devices to leave them running around free.

The problem really lies with this --who created an environment that put the Taliban in control of Afghanistan?
We did. We did on the theory that our enemies enemy was our friend. The Taliban was against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan so the US supported them, gave them money and weopens and made it possible for the little despotic bas*ards to rule.
We need to really think through any and all actions we as a nation take in this region. We didn't in the 1970s-1980s and look what we helped to spawn. Wiping them off the face of the Earth could only create a vaccuum for another, worse Islamic theocracy. We need to accept that there are no easy answers to this one.

That does not follow in any way, shape or form.

Beheading or otherwise executing public officials is inseparable from most insurgencies. It has no relevance to whether the insurgents can or cannot be negotiated with.

No one is asking if they tortured them first.

Wake up and get a grip on the world as it exists for whatever reason.

Killing public officials is one of the techniques of insurgents. Vietnam ring any bells?

I saw it first hand in the orient. I wonder if you did? Negotiating is not an option, or maybe you would rather negotiate after the Taliban takes control on Pakistans nuclear arsenal.
