The fact of the matter is, our troops should get out of there, it is high time that the Iraqi government take control of their country. What is the message that they are sending to their own people if our troops STILL need to be there? I'll tell you, it sends a message of incompetence & fear. No more, they need to pull up their britches & get to it.
Saddam HAD control of the country before king Bush went over there and let the genie out of the bottle - kinda hard to get it back under control now.

This is what I can't stand - WE destabilize their country, and then wag our finger at them and say 'they need to pull up their britches & get to it'.
The situation WAS stable under Saddam. The Christians were treated MORE fairly than they are under Shiite rule, which we supported against Saddam and the Sunni. There was inter-marriage between Shiite and Sunni. The only time Saddam used weapons against Iraqis was when the Shiites rose up to overthrow him, and the Kurds were always at war with him. WE need to realize the untold suffering that we have caused unnecessariy - and put Bush/Cheney on trial for war crimes against humanity.

Yes and the situation was stable in germany with Hitler in power as it was in russia with stalin in power. North korea I guess you could call satble. So what's your point? Are you saying we should have left Hitler in power in france since they even had a ferench governmnet that took over control? Who was it stable for the ****es the kurds or sunni? If we had a dictator takeover and kill moillions herethat would be ok because he stabilsed the country by killng the unstable elements.Should we kill all those involved in riot in any city to stabilse our country.Do do you believe that the middle east has been stable since WWII? Should we then not use mroe waterboard to stablise our country forn teh threat of more unstblising terror strikes;after all we are not kiling them whi9ch seem more kind?
