Yep.

Gov. Deval Patrick’s free wheels for welfare recipients program is revving up despite the stalled economy, as the keys to donated cars loaded with state-funded insurance, repairs and even AAA membership are handed out to get them to work.
But the program - fueled by a funding boost despite the state’s fiscal crash - allows those who end up back on welfare to keep the cars anyway.

It just gets better and better. As I said on the other thread about this, if I lived in MA, I would move out of the state.

There are private charities were poor people can get things like cell phones, computers, furniture, cars, nice clothes, money, help with the power bill, medical bills, food, hot meals, create resumes, pro bono legal, etc..

Welfare should be abolished. Remember those of you with jobs who take your social welfare tax refund too. How much is it, like 4,000 to 8,000 in porkulous money? Be a true patriot and don't file an income tax!

While your at it, don't take a Pell Grant either! The porkulous has pumped up the Pell Grant to 5,500.

I can't agree with completely abolishing welfare (or with not filing income taxes), but I would like to see far more restrictions on it and a very definite time limit imposed.

Remember when welfare was supposed to be help rather than handouts? Talk about ancient history!

Try reading the post before scolding the OP. It's not a duplicate thread.
