The Myth of the Clinton Surplus

Again, there was no surplus as much as the liberal idiots want to say that there was. I see it all too much posted on these boards. Read this article (again), it is not hard to follow and it shows the myth of the "Clinton Surplus".

So now, that we have established that there was no surplus, let's move along and look at Big Government under the Democrats and Obama.

Do you think before you post?

Go to the CBO website and it's there to see.

Good post.

And the other point that is often conveniently left out is that the fiscal responsibility which did exist during that time period, was FORCED upon Clinton by Newt Gingrich and the Republicans following the 94 midterm election blowout and the Republican "Contract With America". In fact, many seem to forget that Slick Willie (along with Tom Daschle) staged numerous public hissy fits, including shutting down the Government a couple times, in an attempt to STOP the Republicans from balancing the Federal Budget.

Again, I just debunked this rightwing propaganda but you CHOOSE to ignore reality which is easily found at the CBO's website.

As for the 90's, it was Newt and the GOP who whined and shut the government down (which he has argued to be used as a tactice in recent years too).

During the Reagan and Bush I years there were NO fiscal conservatives.

They emerged in 93 and quickly disappeared in January 2001, only to be found again January of this year.

The "surplus" was with borrowed money.

The only thing you just debunked with that statement is any modicum of credibility which you thought you had.

I'll take that as a no, you didn't go to the CBO's website.

But don't let that stop you from making assinine statements.

Please continue

Obviously reading comprehension was not your strong point in school. I am not debating your CBO numbers. It's your inaccurate, revisionist view of history that exposes your ingorance in this matter.

I said I debunked something - and I did - you are stating that I did not.

You are wrong.

And I have not revised anything.

This statement demonstrates that you do not know what you are talking about.

And this one:

I am not debating your CBO numbers
Shows that the critical point - the surplus - the point that I backed up with fact - you cannot argue with - so the rest of the wingnut fairytale falls down.

But again, please - please continue....
