They have brought Carolyn Kennedy out of hiding and she is on all the morning shows. She was on the Today Show on NBC this morning May 18th 2009. They asked her about the situation with her aborted run to be the Senator of New York. She still has not got the speech training she needs. She was terrible. I counted at least 14 "you knows"
Can someone put her under the rock they found her? If she was not a Kennedy she would be working as a grocery check out girl.

The majority of people speak like that and don't notice her apparent lack of speech training.
Yes, the majority of people speak like that. But.... to be honest... saying "you know" is like writing "loose an election." Even though it's a mistake a lot of people make, it's annoying and it detracts from what you have to say. Which is too bad, because she has some good things to say.
Looking at the bright side, Carolyn Kennedy has given a gift to future politicians. The way I look at it, she's set an example of why you need to pay attention to lazy habits when you have the time to fix them.
Carolyn Kennedy never bothered to fix a bad habit when she was young because she didn't think she would ever want to be in the public eye--now she's regretting that decision. So, now that an example has been set, I hope you guys pay attention! If there's even a slight possibility you may want to pursue politics later in their life, work on those speech habits now. Go to toastmasters, or just practice in front of a video camera.
It takes a while to learn new speech habits. So if you have a few bad habits yourself, do something about it now while you have the time.
