ABC/Mike Judge has apparently come up with an animated TV show that makes fun of liberals and their politics and politically correct mentality. They raised a vegan dog Che who is now eating every bird, cat and squirrel he can find, live by "What would Al Gore do?" and are disappointed when their African adopted child, turns out to be white and South African. I have not seen it yet (I'm going to watch it online later - the first episode is on the ABC show's website) so I have nothing to say about the show myself except apparently (Surprise!) the liberal media critics don't think it's funny from a scan of Google News results of the reviews. Here's an article if, like me, you never heard about it until today:

TV review | 'Goode Family' makes fun of the world's do-gooders - Top Entertainment story - MiamiHerald.com (http://www.miamiherald.com/entertainment/top-story/story/1065395.html - broken link)

The question is not about this particular show (what it's about or whether you think it's any good) as that would belong in the entertainment forum. The question is for those who post in this political forum and are liberal or conservative and are deeply involved in politics. Do you ever watch satire that pokes fun of your own ideology/values?

I'll watch anything funny. Dont care if it pokes fun of me or anyone for that matter.

I will say that Jon Stewart is getting really lame, though. I still love the Colbert Report. Stewart just seems like he's always pissed and hardly ever takes shots at the left. And its not even funny anymore, just mean-spirited.

I haven't seen it yet, but it looks great. I only lean somewhat to the left, but I know way too many people who embrace the mentality portrayed on the show. I'm curious to see their reactions

I think it's great that Judge can have a show like King of the Hill, which pokes fun at a conservative Texas family, and then do a complete 180 and poke fun at a liberal family.

I used to watch South Park. They make fun of both sides. It never really bothered me. The episode they did after Obama won the election perfectly describes a good deal of posters on this forum.

Default Cartoons

For satire that sinks barbs in the left see the cartoon strip Mallard Fillmore.Written and drawn by Bruce Tinsley,it appears in over 400 papers nationwide.

South Park (as previous poster said) is a good example.

The Prius "Smug Alert" episode was hilarious, and I'm a big supporter of hybrids.

Love the show.

That episode was awesome. Randy Marsh is the man.
