But that's what thinking people have been saying for years. At least now the EPA admits it as well.

Quote:
(CNSNews.com) – According to an analysis of climate legislation performed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the cap-and-trade system favored by President Barack Obama and many congressional Democrats could potentially damage the U.S. manufacturing sector and force jobs to move overseas.

The policy, under certain scenarios, for example, “can cause domestic production … to shift abroad,” reads the EPA analysis (http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/economics/pdfs/WM-Analysis.pdf - broken link), and result in greater greenhouse gas emissions in countries that do not have similar cap-and-trade rules.
So lets see, more jobs lost and we all get to pay for greater "greenhouse gas" emissions. Sounds to me like it's not really the environment that's under attack, it's capitalism, specifically U.S. capitalism. I guess it's just more "spreading the wealth" around only this time its being spread around the globe.

For those search challenged forum members, here is the link.

Oh I think they care, just not about the same things as the people do.

You took our government, at any time, to the coal shed with that one. I don't remember any time in my over 75 years that the government has cared about what is best for the people, only what is best for it.

All I know is that Obama said that NOBODY with an income of less than $250,000 will see their taxes increased by even one dime. Suddenly I'm paying higher taxes for my cigarettes and my beer. With Cap and Trade I will soon be paying more for my energy.

Perhaps Obama meant that my income tax would not increase but that's not what he said. He mislead, nay lied to, me. All politicians lie. Obama is no exception. He is a liar.

Those in government are faced with a dilemma - they have to appear to do their jobs, while not divulging what is really going on.

Can you imagine the chaos if 300 million Americans, minus the politicians, lawyers, and bankers, decided that they would cease volunteering to be socialist slaves, indebted, and obligated to pay taxes?

Of course, you weren't informed that the personal income tax was voluntary... as is participation in national socialism aka "Socialist InSecurity".

When 51% of Americans leave the socialist plantation, the con game is over. And you can bet that's what they care about.

We have the best government money can buy. And the money is no good, too. We have millions of people convinced that invading two Asian nations whose governments did nothing to us, killing and destroying their people and property, is "defending freedom". Are Americans insane? Of course not - we stole THIS COUNTRY, fair and square. We wouldn't know sanity, if it hit us upside the head. And if you object to the asylum, they think you're on the "lunatic fringe".

Bojemoi!

Pffft. With or without Cap & Trade you're going to be paying more for your energy. You think the companies actually need an excuse?

As for your beer & cigarettes, if it bothers you so much to pay for 'em, quit smoking & drinking. They're hardly an indispensible part of your livelihood.
There was no lie, you purposely misinterpreted. In a discussion of income tax, a statement of "no tax increase" would be understood by moderately fluent English language speakers to refer to the antecedent...unless they're either stirring s&it or not very bright. I would assume it's not the latter.

You might want to contact Wesley Snipes's attorneys with that news.
