You know, everytime I start to get mad at Obama about something or get disappointed in something he has done or not done, all I have to do is come on this forum and read the posts from the neo cons and it makes me realize that I'd rather be associated with Obama and his ideas than the petty, whining, ridiculous people that are against him. I swear, if they went a week without listening to Rush or Hannity they wouldn't know WHAT to think.
The point Katrina is... election of the Messiah was supposed to be change from doing business like the past...
When I voted for him, it never crossed my mind that the "change" I was voting for was less travel or fewer date nights with his wife than previous admins. There are SO many other changes that I was voting for, why would something like this be of a concern?
who's money did he spend for the plane ride, security, and tickets?
as someone already pointed out, it is a necessary evil. He can't fly commercial or drive himself anywhere. Tickets? What makes you think he didn't buy them himself?
It's the dichotomy between the preaching of obama and his actions. It seems just fine for him to spend taxpayer money to fly to NY for a night on the town, when out of the other side of his piehole he is preaching to the American people about shared sacrifice, belt-tightening.
Do you not see?
In order to stimulate the economy, people who have money need to spend it. I don't think any one ever told people who HAVE money that they shouldn't be spending it.

Because that is all there is to their show. Even their Supreme Court outrage is failing. Positive Initial Reaction to Sotomayor Nomination
PRINCETON, NJ -- Americans' first reactions to the news of President Obama's nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court are decidedly more positive than negative, with 47% rating the nomination as "excellent" or "good," 20% rating it "only fair," and 13% rating it "poor."
Perhaps it will change but they played their hand before the cards were dealt. So with that going sour it is back to his marriage and Michelle. They were hoping by now he would be dating Larry Sinclair. Remember when we were assured about that and him? Obama is a family man and date night with his wife is exemplary. I hope that all of us as posters have date night with our spouses.
I guess we can expect threads like this whenever the First Family steps outside the White House.
