I was watching CNN the other day when Obama gave his speech, and I was just amazed at how many people were screaming when they called him up to give his speech, and this was some where in Europe. You would have thought he was a rock star instead of the Commander in Chief of our nation. I wonder how long will his popularity last?

I heard Spud MacKenzie and Dana Fitzpatrick as the GoDaddy girl was quite popular too!

It's true.

In Mideast and Europe, Obama debuts 'global populism' | csmonitor.com

A recent poll conducted in the US and major European countries by Harris International showed that the president was the most popular Western leader, with 70-80 percent seeing him as positive

Of course to red state wingnuts....being liked by foreigners is a bad thing....LOL

Time will tell. I think chances are that Americans will consistently give Obama lower approval ratings than the rest of the world. We have a strong right-wing contingent in this country. They won't change their minds about him, no matter what. The only way they might approve of him is if he's assassinated - and even then, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Hide CIA torture photos, promote more WAR in Afghanistan, and shoved a stimulus bill through without any time to read. Lots of opaqueness and bended/broken promises!

But he's cool by Europeans' standards.
