Aren't you even slightly interested in the kinds of people who are starting such "Minutemen" organizations? "Inflame" what?

I'm posting about some very recent news. Period.

Everyone whines that we shouldn't stereotype muslims after 9/11, so why should we stereotype anyone else.

Shawna! Oh no.

She was cracking up earlier this year in a REAL bizarre way - a couple of threads on it with many links in the Immigration forum.

Yes, they did.

But we're talking about a woman who was running a Minuteman organization for civilians to guard the border, and SHE just got arrested for murder.

Inflame to a frenzy? On these boards?

Gotta admit it isn't hard to do that. Not the rightwingers who post around here. I'm amazed at what can inflame them...... But the subject was very close to the headline of the linked article. No sensationalism, hyperbole or hysterics. Can't fault someone for that.

Ahhh, she already has a reputation here at C/D....... Well, now she's in big trouble! This will be a nasty trial.

Just wanted to clear that up before the lefties come in and try to tear down a more respectable organization.

It appears that this lady was a few sandwiches short of a picnic, BUT, it should also be noted that her affiliation with M.A.D has absolutely nothing to do with this story. I'm not sure why the OP emphasizes that organization unless it was an attempt to inflame. She wasn't guarding the border when this crime occurred.

Well it seems the spin to implicate the Minutemen is an even more interesting story! I am so sick of this misinformation!

The truth is bad enough it does not need to be embelished.

Search "Shawna Forde" over in Immigration -- there are at least two threads, though they're a few months old, detailing her sad saga.
