While I can understand being suspicious of the "affirmative action president" comment, I don't see how a person saying they feel Obama is racist makes them a racist. They may simply be misunderstanding some of our president's intentions. Questioning whether or not someone else is racist does not automatically make you a racist yourself. Also, why are we using the term "reverse racism" It's simply racism. It doesn't matter who it is aimed at. Using the word "reverse" implies that a person of color who displays racist tendencies is only doing so to combat the "real" racism from others. It's just racism people, there is nothing reversed about it, and there are racist people of all ethnic backgrounds. White people do not own that corner of the market.

That being said, I personally have never felt Obama was a racist.

Just as race is a factor for some people who support him.

At least he does a relatively fair job of sounding intelligent and appearing unbiased. Most posters here aren't so good at it (especially the ones on the right).

It seems to me that the people that I know personally who are supposedly concerned about "reverse discrimination", etc, are racists. The rest of my friends/relatives/acquaintences aren't looking for racial overtones in every thing Obama does.

I suspect there are specific posters that are racist in their motivations, but I don't think anyone extrapolates that to say that "all who oppose Obama are racist".

I think you're extrapolating from contextual situations to genralities that do not exist.

When people do things like post a picture of a watermelon under a box and call it an "Obama trap", yes, I think they're racist.

I don't think the majority are, though.

It's the people who are FOR affirm-action and quotas that are the professional racists, some of them studied the law and got PhDs in the stuff to push it (um, like Obama and Sotomayor did).
The people I know personally, who are so concerned with "reverse discrimination" every time a minority gets into a grad school, or even college, or gets a job that they didn't get, etc, ARE RACISTS. I am talking about people I know personally. There is no evidence that Obama got anything by AA. I don't know about Sotomayor.
