I will say this, people like you who hate for the sake of hating are not worth any time, so that being said....go get educated before you post things that show how ignorant you are about the subject at hand.
I never said I hated anyone. If you'll look back through the thread, I expressed admiration, even preference, for the Southern region. My previous comments specifically addressed the Confederate flag.

My step-grandfather was a member. I know what he thought about the Confederate Flag, as did anyone who ever got within fifty yards of him.

I'm talking about growing up in South Carolina in the 60s, when stores had three restrooms for "men", "women", and "colored".

The klan used to have rallies about three miles from where I am sitting. I never attended one, but I remember driving past them a dozen times or more.

West Columbia across the Congaree River from here had a lot more activity than we did here. Google "Maurice Bessinger" if you want to see what the old guard looked like. He owns a lot of BBQ restaurants here and ran for governor in 1974 wearing a three piece white suit and looking a lot like Colonel Sanders. His billboards depicted him in that ridiculous suit sitting astride a white horse.

Not in the least symbolic.

Yep, I went to college in SC. I love that state and they did have a sordid past when it came to slavery and the treatment of blacks. But that is not what they are these days, so get on with your life and stop living in the past. People who live in the past are what causes the problems in this country more than many other things.
