Bush might have messed up, but at least he wasn't pushing (for all he was worth) for socialism.
Yeah! He might have been an incompetent boob who presided over a term that touched off one of the worst recessions in history, gutted the Constitution like never before, ballooned the national debt like a junkie on crack, and provoked an endless war that has so far gotten thousands of American soldiers killed, but at least he wasn't a SOCIALIST.

If you can make a million a day GOOD ON YOU!, you should NOT be forced by the government to spread your wealth around to make the poverty stricken feel better.

Warren Buffett doesnt seem to mind Obama's evil socialist plan
If you make $365 million a year and you still resent paying taxes, you're sick.
If you defend those sick people, you're a loyal, if not too bright, guard dog.

Statements like this make it clear why the wisest One who ever lived said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
I think its sad that somebody can state the obvious and be looked to as wise.
Keep milk in the refrigerator. Don't eat junk food. Get some exercise. Fatherhood and the family makes for happy children. Wear shoes when you go outside.
I hear all this and think the whole country has been put in the remedial special education class, no offense.

What he said isn't the issue.
It's the reaction of those commenting.....as if what he said was startling new and brilliant
So....what he said *is* the issue....people's positive reactions to what he said.
I dont see any posts announcing that the Father's Day msg was startling, new or brilliant. Though it *is* new -- and for those who prefer comfy pablum, startling indeed -- among presidents' FD messages.
If you look back at the posts you'll see that even some right wingers reluctantly allow that this was a good, useful message. Everyone else just bashes it -- "I dont need HIM to tell ME..." etc.
Those who were disappointed or scornful of what he said... what would you prefer him to have said?
The more important question is, why have educated people elevated a politician to an all knowing diety?
