I would consider myself a very liberal Democrat, on almost all issues except for abortion, where I am pro-life, and education, where I believe parents should have a choice to homeschool or send their kids to private school.

Social issues = moderate

Fiscal issues = conservative, but not "very conservative"

It is hard for me to describe. Somewhere between institutional conservative, center left and moderately libertarian. I also like to consider and think about each issue individually and then make a decision based on what I think is the right course of action for that issue. As such my believes are quite varied. Generally and for purposes of this poll I would say left leaning moderate.

I'd consider myself a social libertarian meaning that I believe in strong government regulation in the economy, I don't have a phobia of state run businesses like most people, I'm pro-union and I believe that all workers should negociate collectively with management. However, on social issues I want the government to stay out of my buisness. I'm pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, in favor of legalizing most drugs, and against most gun control measures. Although I don't have a problem with tax and spend government, I'm against stupid spending such as the TARP bailout, incarceration of non-violent drug offenders, subsidies to corporations that would still make tons of money without taxpayer assistance and spending money on planes designed to fight the Soviet Union just because it's gonna line some executives pockets that contributed to your campaign. On foreign policy, I'm for using soft power and going to war only as a last resort to stop a foreign attack. I want America to be a responsible world power: not the world police. I'm against corporate globalization. I say if you want to globalize business, you have to globalize living wages, workers rights and environmental protections as well. I'm registered as a Democrat but my views are way to the left of the mainstream Democrat party, although I tend to favor the Republicans a little more on gun control.

Just like GWB. I don't understand this position though, if you're a social conservative what programs would you be in favor of spending money on?

From a very broad level I guess my views line up with libertarian socialism. Not really a big fan of authority I guess.
