What ever happened to the principle of "correlation =/= causation" so effortlessly flaunted by Liberals on this forum? Most of those states are only red or blue by a few % points, so I fail to see the correlation. Nor do I see 'family values' mentioned anywhere on the graphic.
Oh my post doesn't prove correlation...but you're welcome to come up with any wild ass guess why white Oklahoma and white Utah (the reddest of the red) score so high.
Nevada? Sin City in the Middle of the Desert...it's an outlier.

I don't know one Republican that subscribes to all those things you have mentioned above. Only the most right wing of the right wingers believe in all that stuff.
I think EVERYONE (except the perps) agrees that children should be protected from molesters, for example. And the DEMS are pushing "healthy choices" and "preventive health" as much as GOP, so that is a non-issue. And may I ask . . . what is traditional education? Or maybe I should ask - what is "non-traditional" education? I know plenty of people on both sides of the aisle who home school. I also know people on both sides who send their kids to private school. So what the heck does that even mean - "traditional education" ?????

The NYT is wrong, as usual on these things.
For example, it lists Arkansas as a red state, but isnt Clinton from Arkansas? And that was just the first one that stuck out without doing any research..
Just more manipulating of facts to try to prove a point that isnt there..
