I think it is clear the media is gaga over anything Palin does. She is a potent force in fundraising and drawing huge, huge crowds. She will "rally" the base in 2010 FOR SURE.
Her ratings and ability to draw the media will be a tremendous draw in the coming months.
She will be on the national stage quite a bit, covered end to end by a media who can't get enough of her.
Question: If she is so "potent" and such a "tremendous draw," how come she and McCain lost the election?
Answer: Because the only people who are "drawn" to her "potency" are people who, generally speaking, are short on grey matter.
"Smart, smart move"? She just killed her political career. She can't just walk away from her responsibilities to her constituents--the people of Alaska--and expect to be seriously taken as a candidate for POTUS. No way. There will always be the Palin mob, but that's where her "potency" ends.
Exactly. If Sarah Palin were a 60-year-old, average-looking woman, saying and doing all the same things, she would have been laughed off the national stage eons ago. She appeals only to aging white men, who can't stop fantasizing about her; vicious white women--of all ages--who are full of right-wing sanctimonious rage and hate; and/or stupid "Christians," who can't think their way out of a paper bag.
Exactly. That describes the sad state of affairs of the GOP party these days.

Libs are scared of her and she will now focus on running around the country building herself up and ripping the village idiot a new one.
See she has a great track record and has no problems in her past like Obama does, she actually accomplished something while Obama is still at ZERO for his entire life.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin plans to remain extremely visible and will give serious consideration to running for president in 2012, but has made no decision, a close friend said after her startling announcement Friday that she will resign her office.
Friends say Palin plans to spend time writing her book, which is due this fall, then promote it heavily when it comes out in spring 2010.
Palin is by far the Republican Party's biggest draw for fundraisers and conservative events, and the friends say she plans to spend a lot of time traveling in "the lower 48" states, as Alaskans call the continental United States.
Those friends say she plans to give a series of paid speeches, and will also make free GOP appearances, raising money for the party and for issues. She also plans to help other candidates, collecting political IOUs for herself.
You're looking at the wrong poll. Gallup just had a ideological poll out recently - 40% considered themselves conservative. Liberals - way, way behind that.
Sarah Palin and the people who support her are not "conservatives." They're right-wing extremists. Big difference.
The only person that needs to grow up is the ex-VP nominee that QUIT today while talking about basketball and dead fish.
Nothing makes America look like the laughing stock of the world than GOP politicians and their goofiness. Goodbye Sarah. TaTa.

The financial/economy taking a dive in Sept. Before that happened, they were ahead/close in the polls. No GOP candidate would have been able to overcome that - as it is, obama only won 53% of the vote.
