BULL! Another lame attempt at creating an issue where none exists.
The ban on needle exchange and the ban on Federal fnding are distinctly different things. Don't try to sell this hypocritical crap that the Uptighty-Righties who cringe in fear and yell SOCIALISM! at the mere mention of government possibly buying a Band-Aid for an American are now up in arms because the government won't fund needle exchange. WHAT a load of whiney BS for NO other reason than producing more whiney BS.
I give you an A for effort , you keep on defending a man that breaks his promises.
Me I perfer to call the politicans that lie to us out.
What you fail to get is its not just about what he changed his mind on its about that he changed his mind.
Arent you sick of politicans telling us they will do one thing to get elected and then allowing them to not keep that promise?

I know I am
Uh, from what I read he said he was for lifting the Federal ban on needle exchange, NOT the funding of it. WHAT promise did he break? Or are you incapable of understanding the difference between banning an action and banning the funding of that action?

Obama said he would help overturn the ban on needle exchange. President Obama reversed himself and banned federal funding for needle exchanges in his budget this year.
Now you can try and have a play on words all day long but banning federal funds is away to put an end to something hence breaking his promise to overturn the ban
Rather than just distributing needles to drug addicts, why not just legalize the drug. Then your local convience store will sell whatever they are shooting up, in convient little prepackaged needles.
Solves two problems, money thrown away on war on drugs, and clean needles.
95% of the illegal drugs shipped to the United States, make it through. This after 20 years and trillions of dollars wasted on a problem that will never go away. Legalize them, regulate them, clean them up.

So, in your little corner of the world IF there was no Federal ban on marijuana you'd be expecting the government to turn us all on for free, eh?
YOU are the one playing with words. Allowing an action DOES NOT mean you also agreee to fund it.
But it IS comical to see the hypocritical NeoConfused whining about the government NOT funding a program, how SOCIALIST! of ya'll
