Global cooling will return as the sun's activity begins to slow:

Where Are All the Sunspots? | Universe Today

Global warming was caused by increased solar activity, plain and simple. Now the sun has become less active so expect the ice to return. However, that sucking sound you hear is the income you will lose when it is Gored in the name of "science". I never believe the hype.

The problem is that you are unwilling to learn. You do not discuss with anyone here. Not one of your posts is a discussion, rather it is a simple cut and paste of talking points.

I have yet to see you even step outside those talking points and even comment in your own words on the issues directly. You are ignorant of the issue and that is why you continue to argue the politics.

As I have said, you have ignored any and all science provided because you do not understand the topic, you have only surface political understanding of the issue.

You have no concept of how they obtain their data to make the conclusions your position holds. You probably have not even read the actual research or could point out anything past cheer leading headlines.

If you wanted to discuss this, you would do so of the topic rather than resorting to fallacious responses of political position. You can not learn because your ignorance is shrouded in a cloud of arrogance and agenda driven bias.

If you want to discuss, there are numerous posts I have made in past threads directly to you on the information. You ignored them and continued to make fallacious arguments. You are a one trick pony.

"In a nutshell, theoretical models cannot explain what we observe in the geological record," says oceanographer Gerald Dickens, study co-author and professor of Earth Science at Rice University in Houston.

Taking bets on how long before this guy's credibility is attacked. I go with within 24 hours. after all that is the typical modus operandi.

Wait! The Earth survived that?

Oh dear. Something most of us have known for years.

Now, is Nature a leftie or a rightie org?

Carbon dioxide forcing alone insufficient to explain Palaeocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum warming : Abstract : Nature Geoscience

The friggin *** it up.
Yes it is...........

What was the Human population of Earth 55 Million years ago?

Do you understand what is meant by a "feedback loop"?

When the temperature dramatically rose in earths past, the earth survived. But many many species didn't. We have been in a centuries long period of climatic calm and base our expectations of what will be, and how we do things on that. But whatever many things are going on to change the climate, it is losing that stabiltiy.

What we need to do is stop arguing about cooling/warming/change and consider what we do as a species and as nations when something happens that cuts the food supply and we can't feed ourselves, or when heavily habited areas have the water dry up. (like it did on the Anastasi). The climate of the earth by design changes. Life on it dies or lives according to what they can do to survive.

The ecosystem that encompases our planet is infinitely complex, and we are still discovering things about the shifts in the past buried in the geological layers. Climate *change* is real. How far it goes, or which direction is not a political discussion but one of many many variables and can't be wrapped up in a nice slogan.

What everyone (including scientific interests) need is to acknowledge that something is happening but we do not and cannot have the full answer. We don't know why things changed before. Only by being OPEN to multiple ideas can we have a hope of guessing what will save us.

We need to lose the "sides" and look at reality.

we are looking at the reality. That is what a skeptic does, that is what a scientist is supposed to be, a skeptic not a faith based believer to a bias.

The problem is that there are tons of errors in the way things are being assessed. Conclusions are being drawn on invalid, incomplete and in some cases non-existent data.

If we "believe" that the punch is coming from the right, but that "belief" is based on poor data and poor methodology and we take action that the punch is coming from the right when in reality due to the poor research, the punch is coming from the left? What happens? We not only get hit, but we help it hit us harder.

The point of this is that acting on unverified conclusions is beyond irresponsible. We do not know enough about any of this to start building solutions. If you do not know the problem or understand it, there is no point in talking about solutions. That is politics, scare tactics, and to be blunt, pure stupidity.
