Basically, a National Guard Major challenged his deployment orders on the grounds that the commander-in-chief has not verified that he is eligible to hold that office and he would not be protected under the Geneva Convention for following illegal orders.
His deployment order was revoked immediately without explanation.
What's going on here?

Cook volunteered for the tour in May of this year. It is not clear why he did so, considering his current objections."

i dont think its the place of soldiers to not do their job based on obama not legitimately being president. he enlisted, he should go where he is told to go.
however, i also dont believe obama is a natural born us citizen.
It was premeditated and a setup. In March he wrote (on Free Republic) that he is part of a lawsuit challenging Obama's qualification to be President. He then volunteered in May, with no intent of deploying, knowing that he would file in court just days before he was scheduled to report for duty. He jerked the Army around and now they have to call up a replacement at the last minute.
This is from his lawsuit - being born in Hawaii is not enough - he claims both parents must be US citizens in order for Obama to be eligible for the Presidency.

I dont know how this could stand up in any sort of court -- it wasnt already proved Obama isnt legitimately president before this guy acted. it's like Alvy in Annie Hall.
