Some rare form of life previously unknown on earth?

No, you can only replace them with other humans...and why would you think that would change anything???

Why do you expect politicians to be any more competent than anyone else at their jobs?

There are plenty of good Senators and Representatives going about their business and making changes...but the bad ones make the news and most Americans are too lazy to look for the good ones.

For only three months in two years these clowns truly fear the electorate. The rest of the time they could care less if you died because they got deals to make.
I'll agree to a certain extent but if too many people die and their aren't enough babies to go around kissing...they might up and lose their seat since Representatives are based on population.
Senators have it pretty easy.

While I agree that there are still some "good" Senators and Representatives, the vast majority need to be tossed out on there ears. They no longer represent the "people" but they represent the "government" and Obama. They don't care what we think. We are stupid, in their eyes, and don't know what's "best" for us.

Time to get rid of them all.

The decent ones could probably be counted on ten fingers.

Just because we have allowed this situation to exist, is no reason to not fix it. Our American system (our Representative Republic) is as nearly perfect as has ever existed on earth. It doesn't need "fundamentally chang[ing]" to quote the current occupant of the White House, who is illegitimate (citizen of Kenya).

All we hear from this "President" is Bull S--t, and more Bull S--t. I have had it up to my ears. We are in such a mess because of what HE has done ( not Bush ) that it will take decades to repair the damage.

As a self employed contractor, I can tell you that business is absolutely dead and has been since the news of the election results. One of my clients is in the landscaping business, and he tells me the same thing. He has never been for lack of work. He is doing nothing now, and he is gravely concerned. The story is the same everywhere, no matter who you talk to, and those of us who are self employed talk to a lot of people.

Obama sucks! Simply put. The guy is nothing but a Chicago thug scum bag socialist, bent on destroying America.

Anyone who can't see what this sh-thead is doing has their head in the sand.

Ironic that the GOP would turn against Castle, as he's extremely likely to win the Senate seat that used to be Biden's in 2010 and thus increase the number of Republicans in the Senate.

More evidence that the GOP hasn't rebuilt itself enough to make a comeback. It's still too hung up on nostalgia and ideological purity like the Democrats in the '80s. Old-line Rockefeller Republican Castle may not be ideologically pure but he's a sure winner. The GOP preferring a more conservative candidate for the Senate seat in DE in 2010 is as detrimental to the party's interests as a situation in which the Dems ran Nancy Pelosi for governor of Texas would be for the Democrats.
