When he has finished the work and i go collect the vehicle...then and only then will i know if his promises are true.

Fail.

He never said take it to the junk yard; he's here to fix the damage done by Garage 1. He loves it too, passionately; he studied and taught about its make and model for years. He has indeed turned a wrench or two in his life, but that's moot now because he's managing this project and he sees and directs the big picture; he has the best mechanics there are in the field working on the car.

It used to have only a front seat and a lot of spikes to keep anyone but the driver and his buddies off it; he's removing the spikes and adding back seats to it.

Well the problem with this thought is that "Garage 1" agrees that the car is "so messed up" now, whereas they didn't before and were in denial...

They now seem to agree that if we had kept driving the car as it was that it would have literally exploded, but had we stuck with "Garage 1" they would have let us keep driving the car as if nothing was wrong...

Oh I'm quite a student of "Garage 1".... They're admitting to all the problems we have with our car now and promising if we just bring it back to them one more time they'll REALLY fix it this time or that somehow even though they refused to acknowledge the problem in the first place, that they're the best for the job to repair it...

I ain't buying it... No matter how much "Garage 1" wants to attempt to scare me into thinking that by taking my car to the new guy will somehow make my car look and feel like every other car out on the road and I'll have to pay to fix everyone else's car, I'll take my chances because "Garage 1" has run out of chances as far as I'm concerned.

yeah, they're good with criticizing but when you ask them to call you with a better idea -- and not sawdust in the transmission again -- they somehow never make that call.

I have a very dear friend here, very liberal, who is regretful of her vote for this hack. She is enumerating all of John McCain's good points now! And says for the first time, she is really scared for her job, for her child's healthcare needs, losing her house, etc. etc.

Sure.... Those would be your, "The state of our nation seems to suck right now, so I'm voting for the other party." folks...

Then 6 months later.... "The state of our nation still seems to suck. I guess I shoulda voted for the other guy.".

IOW, those who voted "Against" what was and didn't really listen to what either candidate was saying....

You also have your ultra-liberals who don't like Obama because he isn't "liberal enough".... Of course who the heck else were they really going to vote for?
