Joint Chiefs Chairman 'Appalled' By Detainee Abuse Photos (CNN, death, Obama)

Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, expressed outrage to his combatant commanders after seeing some of the detainee abuse photos now under wraps by the Obama administration, according to a highly sensitive memo obtained Wednesday by FOX News.

Mullen wrote in the July 10 memo that he does not think the photos should be released and agrees such a move would inflame the situation. However, his memo was a shot across the bow to commanders that they need to do more to prevent any abuses of those captured on the battlefield

Good. It's hard to understand why people would be calling for those photos to be released in the name of transparency.

Well, I just want to see Di*k Cheney locked up.

Druther-wise, though, I would like to see him locked up without benefit of the photos.

There were other photos in evidence of our treatment of prisoners/detainees.

I'm glad he's speaking out now, but why not at the time?

Maybe they can just lock up another "rouge" private in the National Guard and solve the problem.

You must be talking about the special menus and treatment the terrorist get .

Too bad you don't hear about the urinating , feces throwing, spitting and vomiting on our troops who have to deal with the headhunters . Or what they do to others they capture .

Not to speak of millions of starved, raped, butchered men,women and kids they get hold of in poor nations .

How many of their captives even get to live or die a merceful death ?
