Just watching the press conference from all the various police unions defending Sgt. Crowley of the Cambridge Police Dept.

Though this is way out of the ordinary, they're doing what a union does -- protect its members.

Are you and your job protected by a union?

They should defend him, he did his job correctly.

EDIT to add: No I don't have a union and I really don't like unions in general.

When unions work as they are supposed to they are a good service.

When unions railroad their employees and make a lot of money for themselves, then they are bad.

When corporations work as they are supposed to they are a good service.

When corporations railroad their employees and screw the public to only make money for the execs, then they are bad.

I was a union man all my working life, without them I wouldn't have the decent pension, prescription drug/dental care I have now, not to mention the improved safety and health conditions I've seen in the work place during my working years.

My question is where is the outrage from the right concerning this story who are typically anti union?
