17 tickets in three years, mostly for the same offense committed again and again.

Sure learned his lesson, didn't he? (Not!)

And this is who we elected to make sure the laws are faithfully enforced.

It explains a lot.

Condemns action of officer at department that ticketed prez 17 times while a student

President Obama, who targeted the Cambridge, Mass., police department with his comment that one of its officers acted "stupidly" in the arrest of a black man, has a history with the department dating from his college years to as recently as the launch of his presidential campaign.

(snip)

According to the Somerville Times in 2007, as a Harvard Law School student, Obama got 17 parking tickets during 1989-1991 from the Cambridge Police Department that he left unpaid until just weeks before he announced his bid for the presidency.

Well, obeying the law and paying your fines are representative of the type of person you are IMO.

This is hysterical. Shows what a slime Obama is.......ignore the law, don't pay 17 tickets until just a couple of weeks before announcing a run for presidency. Everything this sham of a president does is for himself and his political aspirations.......he cares nothing for the American people.

That sounds about right. Congratulations to those who voted for this racist, socialist, law breaking moron. He was going to bring the country together. NOT.............he just can't wait to make things worse for all of us, and to make all of you dependent on doing things his way. What a disgrace as the first black president. He will be hardly worth a paragraph in the history books, and they will say how inexperienced he was.

Live in Cambridge, Somerville, or Boston and you WILL get a lot of tickets. No way around it. Driving there is a major hassle and parking spots don't come easy. 17 may be a little high, but everyone gets a few.

Yeah, I mean parking tickets aren't much of an offense. You can be an upstanding citizen and still get them. Not paying them, eh, little worse, maybe kind of elitist or poor. Making you not like the police though, parking tickets will do the trick haha.

And not everyone pays them. I got several in college and as long as you didnt rack up a ton, everyone just threw them away.

Ya know I disagree with a lot of Obama's policies but the more mouth breathers I see dredge stuff like this up, the more I want 2012 to get here so I can vote for him.
