Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said Saturday the country would strike Israel's nuclear facilities if Tel Aviv attacked the Islamic state, Reuters reported state television as saying.
They can threaten, but I doubt they'd have the capability of doing that. You've got to remember that Israel has the most advanced fighter planes, anti-missile technology, and radar systems that we have available. I strongly doubt that the 1980's soviet technology that Iran has will be capable of putting to much of a dent in Israels nuclear facilities.
However, Iran does have missiles trained on the Saudi Arabia oil fields. They wouldn't hesitate to destroy those and send the world into an economic tizzy.

One more reason to get off of middle eastern oil.
That's an understatement. I agree, get off of ME oil now!
Iran was a key U.S. ally until 1979. They are not a third-world, tenth-rate pushover like Iraq. The Israelis know that themselves, which is why they've stayed home so far and will probably continue to do so.
Memphis: I agree with you. I think Israel would make mincemeat of Iran in short order.
I believe that also.
Of course most libs here do not like Israel and think they are in the wrong but I believe Israel would make a sand pit out of Iran if one single missile or anything comes their way.
Ya, Iran wouldnt be able to target Israeli's nuclear facilities so easily, and therefore Israel does not need to fear iran much and not go forth with any pre-emptive attack.
