We just need the federal government to take over control of more private sector operations. Banking, insurance, heath care, energy, agriculture, manufacturing, education, ... we need more and more government control and ownership of the private sector, only then, can we truly be a free country.

The problem isn't the spending. The problem is the amount of the spending that goes into individual pockets. The amount we are spending could provide Millions of jobs. Millions. As it is the spending has provided no jobs and there continues to be a net loss of jobs because the corporate structure at the companies receiving stimulus pays out millions in executive compensation and thus far there seems to be no way to control that problem. I don't know why salary caps for companies in trouble is such a bad idea but if people want to live in tents and defend their former bosses right to make millions of dollars a year even as he lays off 1/3 of the company workforce who am I to say anything. I guess that's the American way and it will work until it doesn't work anymore. One thing is correct. Obama shouldn't push for any more spending. We are just throwing good money after bad. But lets not kid ourselves. Things are never going to get any better. This is the America of the future: 25% unemployment, now and forever. Get used to it. Over half the world already lives this way.
