They are actually. These "kids" are adults once they are of age for college or to go in the military. They are breaking the law by being in the United States illegally.
dear OP i like your posts, however, the kids are not illegal in their own country and that is where they belong. they are citizens and should be allowed to live as citizens in Mexico.
The kids if they are here illegally should be sent back. Let Mexico and their citizens send them to school. The parents should be punished. Americans can not save the world we are sinking here and we need to save ourselves first or we will never be able to help anyone.
Sorry but if they were brought here illegally then they need to GO HOME and their parents need to be punished for what is indeed BREAKING THE LAW.

Your logic is the same as saying that abused children should be sent back to their criminal parents because you don't want to pay to protect them.

i dont think the parents are bad parents they just decided to try here instead of mexico - their actions do not make them bad parents.
but the advantages of being a mexican citizen a big when it comes to schooling.

As a resident of California I am the first to admit that we need to do something drastic about the influx of illegals, the cost to our society has become too much of a burden to ignore any longer. But I'm not willing to take our "pound of flesh" from the kids who did nothing wrong and are as "americanized" as anyone born here. If they are college material (and many are Ivy League college material), if they want to join our armed forces, and if they can work and pay taxes, then they are exactly the type of immigrants we want. In fact I'd trade some home grown trash for them.
If they are lawbreakers, dropouts, unemployed, or unskilled then they and their parents can be deported and I won't shed a tear.
