White House's Call For Informants: If You Oppose Obamacare, Even in ‘Casual Conversation,’ the White House Wants to Know About It

From the White House website: The White House - Blog Post - Facts Are Stubborn Things

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov

It may be that no names or email addresses are being asked for but there is little doubt (in my mind) that many will just forward the entire mails, names and all

Well, well, well. . .

BREAKING — WHITE HOUSE THIS MORNING DEBUTS “HEALTH INSURANCE REFORM REALITY CHECK” WEBSITE ON HEALTH CARE.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/realitycheck The site incorporates lessons learned from http://fightthesmears.com, the Obama campaign’s Learn the Truth About Barack Obama site, which covered everything from the birth certificate to William Ayers to “a recent e-mail smear falsely claims Michelle ordered room service, but she never even stayed at the hotel.”

WHAT’S NEW: The site has built-in tools allowing users to e-mail every page and video to their friends and families and is linked to social networks with preloaded messages to encourage folks to share the content.

. . .

“We're offering the site and tools to empower individuals across the country to take this content into their own hands and share it among their networks. That's the sort of bottom-up process that got us to the White House, and it's what's going to deliver meaningful change to the health insurance system.”

In other words, exactly what I said.

Oh yes! And here is more to the list!

Quote:
Freedom of Association: Government may monitor religious and political institutions without suspecting criminal activity to assist terror investigations.

Freedom of Information: Government has closed once-public immigration hearings, has secretly detained hundreds of people without charges, and has encouraged bureaucrats to resist public records requests.

Freedom of Speech: Government may prosecute librarians or keepers of any other records if they tell anyone that the government subpoenaed information related to terror investigations.

Right to Legal Representation: Government may monitor federal prison jailhouse conversations between attorneys and clients, and deny lawyers to US citizens accused of crimes.

Freedom from Unreasonable Searches: Government may search and seize papers and effects owned by citizens without probable cause to assist terror investigations.

Right to a Speedy and Public Trial: Government may jail anyone indefinitely without a trial, including US citizens.

Right to Liberty: Anyone may be jailed without being charged or being able to confront witnesses against them.

We are talking about Bush and what he wants to add to their already compiled enemy list of citizens they deem may want to overthrow the government. Right?

That is exactly what Bush did with the Patriot Act!

Quote:
The law was submitted to Congress by the Bush Administration on September 24th, just 13 days after the attack. Two of the Senators who attempted to slow passage of the bill, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy and Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, were targeted with letters containing weaponized anthrax delivered to their offices on October 9. Russ Feingold was the only member of the Senate to vote against it
