No different really from the leftist anarchists, but let's not fall for their trick by believing this is some grassroots outrage cropping up at meetings across the country.

It's just a relatively small group trying to make it look that way. I, personally, have a great respect for conservative ideals. However, shouting people down rather than having respectable discourse is very rude and unpatriotic, if you ask me.
It's not just that... it's the exaggeration, deception and sometimes outright lies that the folks against health care reform have put forth.

You absolutely have a right to protest... free speech... but saying that the health care bill will mean that Grandma will be euthanized... that the government will run the health care system... etc., is taking it too far and deserves to be called out and criticized.

The sad thing is, I've heard some valid concerns from some conservatives concerning the health care bill... but, because of groups like AmericansForProsperity and FreedomWorks (Dick Armey) deliberately repressing dialog at meetings, encouraging the spread of false or misleading information, I'm much more inclined to be suspicious of any claims made by them.

IT IS NOT A GOVERNMENT RAN HEALTHCARE SYSTEM! It is a government ran healthcare plan. Big difference. The private health care industry will still exist as it does now.

The reason people are ignoring these protestors is because they are protesting things that arent true.

If the protestors want respect, learn the facts and protest the truth.

Dont protest things like the government killing everyone over age 65. That's just pure ignorance and is exactly what is going on.

The similarity between various Democrat spokesmen's claims is familiar. This was fabricated by insurance companies, fabricated by a right-wing fringe, fabricated by a vast right-wing conspiracy, etc.

Never mind that these Democrats can present no evidence of actual people telling otherwise-indifferent people, to go to their townhall meetings and start shouting. No evidence that the people protesting are a "fringe" at all, instead of regular citizens taking time off their jobs to try to stop an out-of-control socialist government. And, as usual, no attempt by these Democrats to actually back up their bizarre claims of sinister
conspiracies and behind-the-scenes manipulations.

Fear of the people who don't want Nanny State government, goes all the way to the top. The President's spokesman, Robert Gibbs, is trying to blame it all on one man, the head of an insurance company... but presenting no evidence to back up his claims, inevitably.

Dick Durbin (D-IL) tried to claim the people questioning the Democrats have no minds of their own, but were somehow sent, robot-like, simply to disrupt things, by persons unknown. He threw in the usual insults and namecalling, but was unable to back up any of his claims.

Democrats in Congress who have been protesting the govt takeover of Health Care, apparently knew these tactics were coming, and protested in advance that they weren't doing it to embarrass their party.

The best news to come out of this Democrat deception and deceit, is that they are aiming their replies at people who aren't doing the protesting. As long as they keep doing that, they will have no effect on the actual protesters - a swelling collection of people who are learning exactly what's in the health care plans, and who don't like it.

Barack Obama's strongest claim to fame, has always been that he was a so-called "community organizer". It's highly ironic that he is now complaining that his critics are doing exactly what he used to do: organize to protest a political plan.
Your forgetting something the democrats like socialism so they don't see why we wouldn't more government. After all its only natural for them to want to help you. After a few years of Bush's social programs and prescription drug programs I guess they are hoping even Bush Republicans are seeing everything commie RED.

I do find it fascinating how deeply, overtly, and consistently the Republicans lie and distort facts without a hint of remorse. Your health care situation is a prime example. I mean, they must really think people can't think for themselves.

I would gladly support many conservative ideals, but I can't support the immoral and unethical behavior I have seen on display for at least the past decade. Before someone says "look at how the Democrats lie", yes they do... a lot. But the balance is so far skewed toward Republican lies it's not even close. The party of values needs to start living by them and not just preaching them. Then they might win some of us independents.

With her Bible. With. The moron with her Bible. You know, like "The moron driving the red pickup (who ran a red light.)" Tell me EC. Does that statement mean all people who drive red pickups are morons?

Always interesting reading when the OP begins her post with a LIE in the first sentence. Most of the protesters are NOT CONSTITUENTS, at least of the Congressperson they are interrupting. They are often trampling on the right of the CONSTITUENTS to make their concerns heard.

Like a lot of her other threads this gem of little-acorn's is best called out for the LIE that it propogates, then ignored so it'll fall off the front page.

The "shouters" rank right up there with the many PETA supporters. Nice they have someone in common.

Like someone said earlier. If you don't want to listen or ask a real question (not a 'i heard that you are going to kill off old people' delusional question), then shut up and go away - across the street would be fine for your orchestrated protest, and let the people who want to listen and ask real questions, do just that.
