Repeat the following phrases about 20 times and you'll know everything you need to know about how Republicans feel about health care reform:

"We need a clean sheet of paper", "it's time to start over", "go step by step", etc.

My point is that they really didn't have any ideas to contribute. They thought that if they just repeated the same elementary-school phrases over and over again, that it would resonate with the public. Instead, they just looked like fools.

You can't argue against talking points, while using a talking point.

That wasn't a talking point from me. That was my own independent analysis.

His point is, he disapproves of an approach that allows real changes to be made and then evaluated before more changes can be done. The op would much rather have the whole system fk up all at once..

Sen. Jim DeMint calls defeating Obama like Waterloo

YouTube - Sen. Jim DeMint calls defeating Obama like Waterloo

This was always their intent, They were speaking like this even before any serious health reform negotiations ever started. What does that tell you about their sincerity in actualy attempting to reach a bipartisan agreement. They are so full of crap!

I hope they don't reach a bipartisan agreement. That's always a formula for trouble.

Agreed. The idea that Democrats should "start over" after a year of negotiations just because the minority party says they're unhappy - is ludicrous. What Republicans really want is to run the clock out until November and then pass NOTHING.
