Screaming constituents, protesters dragged out by the cops, Congressmen fearful for their safety — welcome to the new town-hall-style meeting, the once-staid forum that is rapidly turning into a house of horrors for members of Congress. August is going to be fun!

Good! No matter which side of the aisle you are on, you have been elected to do the will of the people. Many Representatives forget this fact and become best friends to lobbyists. They need t get their butts in gear and be reminded that they can be voted out of office just as easily as they were voted in. Campaign finance reform is way overdue!

Reminds me of the 60's protest and makes me support even more the tea Party protestors which have been evrywell organized. There is a great difference between a protest and a mob.

Considering the early effect that we've seen regarding the 52% of Republicans who question the legitimacy of President Obama and some back-pedaling, these meetings will be cutting both ways. It will be interesting to see what directives the GOP will be sending out over the recess: will they acknowledge the truth, or will they continue to allow their constituents to believe a lie? I lived through Watergate and thought it couldn't get worse...I lived through Iran/Contra and thought it couldn't get worse...I lived through the Bush debacle and thought it couldn't get worse...what a life lesson in how utterly lacking in moral fiber people can be. It's worse.

listen to this condescending [MOD CUT/language]

“I had felt they would be pointless,” Rep. Tim Bishop (D-N.Y.) told POLITICO, referring to his recent decision to temporarily suspend the events in his Long Island district. “There is no point in meeting with my constituents and [to] listen to them and have them listen to you if what is basically an unruly mob prevents you from having an intelligent conversation.”

Maybe if you knew what the anger was about you would not be a clueless politician that only does what is best for your career.

Zack Space of Ohio is afraid to come home because he has an angry mob waiting for him here.

We do not want this health care bill and he knows if he caves into Obamas blood sucking ways he will be a goner soon.

Dear Mr. Space
If you want to remain in Washington, vote against this scam health care bill or consider yourself gone.
