Ms Barbara Boxer has pointed out that people attending town hall meetings on healthcare are...WELL DRESSED. They had that same well dressed look that she saw in Florida when she went with Al Gore for the recount. You know what that means you town hall fashionistas? They can't hear you unless you're wearing flip flops, holey jeans and maybe pink tee shirts. Maybe you should take off your shoes and throw them. I seem to remember big libs being enthusiastic about that fashion statement when it was made in Iraq.

What is the proper attire for "storming" (Ms Boxer's word) a town hall meeting when one hasn't been sent a ticket/an invite to attend like when the President does one?

You know, if we're rubes from the sticks, this might be our trip to the big city for the year. We've got "Sunday best" clothes and "porch sittin'" clothes if we're retired and that's about it. Workin' folks save the overalls for work. Maybe you rural folks went for the Sunday best look and it was offensive.

And you suburban fashionistas...didn't you realize coordinated separates was a big no-no? I mean, REALLY, what were you thinking? No one is going to take you seriously if your shirt matches your pants. And PUH-LEEEZE, we can't be having your clothes match the color of your hand held sign. That just screams "I'm a coordinated tool of the insurance cabal/GOP." Didn't our leaders, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck devote hours to telling us not to dress nicely for "killing seniors by denying them treatment other than pain pills" questions at town hall meetings?

Should you be going for that bleacher seats look? Obviously, you want to avoid the "private box" look. I don't know. I don't know. I'm so yesterday.

Perhaps you should wear the clothes you want to be buried in seeing as how they want to fast track you down that road to save some money.

The real problem Boxer had was that without a mirror she couldn't tell the protesters from herself and was frightened she might be having some real thoughts or that her conscience might be staging an uprising.

Thanks for this thread. It is hilarious and speaks volumes about the
lack of substance our majority leaders possess. Let's judge people by
the clothes they wear.

Harry Alford exposed her racial assumptions and views, and she just exposed her assumptions about socioeconomic status.

She can't imagine business people and doctors at the townhall meetings? Only lumber jacks and maintanence people----well they have nice clothes in their closet as well.

I think it's time for her to be voted out. She needs to get back in the real world.

She is a moron. Everything that comes out of her mouth is insanity. Why is this woman holding Senate seat anyway? Who is voting for her?

I saw the interview you are talking about (unless she said it more than once). As usual, you take one comment out of context and blow it all out of proportion. How about posting a link to the video so we can all see how offensive it actually was (not). n

Yes, like these threads (no pun intended) about Obama's shirt sleeves in the WH, Michelle's shoes, Sarah Palin's duds, etc.
