I do think it's interesting how demonized Hitler is (rightfully so), but no one says a hoot about Stalin. Stalin was every bit as evil, if not more so.
They are all equally bad. It's probably the one focused on the most because our troops died in the war to defeat him, and there are people still alive that lived through it.
In all fairness to Hitler, he did tell the Jews to get out. If I had been a Jew in Germany around 1938 and saw some of the stuff going on in the streets, I would've gotten me and my family outta there asap.
Hitler really crossed the line when he started killing the disabled, the mentally ill, the gypsies, etc. and started using people for cruel medical experiments. That just ain't right.
You can't really define a person by their actions either, it's really what's in their heart that makes them good or bad.
So by that standard, going back to my previous example, Jeffrey Dahmer could have been a real good guy... he just chopped people to pieces and threw them in the refrigerator every once in a while. We all have our little idiosyncrasies, right?
Hitler? Same thing. A good dude who had a little problem with killing millions of Jews. And gypsies. And handicapped people. Could have happened to anybody...
It may just be me, but I'm of the opinion that your philosophy on this matter is profoundly flawed. Actions are exactly what defines a person. Actions are a window to the heart.

Reason: speeling misteak
Hitler was a good public speaker, a **** poor military leader, and a mass muderer the likes of which had never been seen. 6 million Jews is the most commonly accepted number.
Just because there have been other genocides, other evil things that other countries have done, none of that makes Hitler any less evil.

There's so much wrong with this post. So it's all the Jews fault that they didn't drop their entire lives and leave at a moments notice? Hitler didn't cross the line in killing Jewish Germans, Poles, Dutch, etc but did when killing disabled and mentally ill Germans, Poles, Dutch etc?
What about all the millions dead as Germany invaded Poland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Holland and France., or in the bombings of Britain, or the battles in North Africa. Those dead OK? 20 million dead Russians didn't cross the line? 6 and a half million dead Germans didn't cross the line? 6 million Poles (17% of the population), a million French, and on and on.
