Health reform isnt the goal. Getting back into power is the goal.

Contrary to what the Huff Poo tells you, people just don't want more government in their lives.

Absolutely right!
This is now not about health reform for the Republicans, it is now all about defeating Obama and getting re-elected. Who cares about the health of Americans as long as the political thirst for power exists. The whitehouse is the goal, regardless of who the politicians have to trample over to get there.

Your life is controlled by insurance companies, corporations and lobbyists not the Govt. The Govt. is in the pockets of big companies and corporations, they run America and always have.

Thirst for power?
You just described our man Bama.

Anyway, people don't want more government in their lives and that has nothing to do with party politics.

I don't know how people think insurance premiums are high now, but don't see that unless there is REFORM the cost will be just as much, if not more.

Would love to know who objects to any of these plans and why?
  • Reduce long-term growth of health care costs for businesses and government.
  • Protect families from bankruptcy or debt because of health care costs.
  • Guarantee choice of doctors and health plans.
  • Invest in prevention and wellness.
  • Improve patient safety and quality care.
  • Assure affordable, quality health coverage for all Americans.
  • Maintain coverage when you change or lose your job.
  • End barriers to coverage for people with pre-existing medical conditions.
You will notice that none of these White House bullets address TREATMENT.
Coverage is not the same as treatment (a 25 year old and a 65 year old may both be entitled to coverage but will not get the same treatment) and quality care is in the eye of the beholder (if the care is so great, why isn't Congress and the President and his family just dying to be a part of this wonderful new healthcare system?) Oh yeah, and "all Americans" only comes after the legalizing (so they can all vote Democrat and swell Union membership) of illegal immigrants is shoved down our throats, too.

Where's the bullet that says how 45 million people will be added to healthcare en masse and how that will not impact the quality of everyone's healthcare? Are we adding a couple of more million doctors, too?

And do you all really think the primary purpose of the nationalized healthcare database is so doctors can move your medical records doctor to doctor? Where's that bullet? No one is talking about this. Do you really want some government bureaucrats to have access to your medical history? It's a database, for crying out loud, not some file transfer system. What do you think government does with databases now (in any agency)? They match one database with another database, their own or one they secure from outside the federal government. Can you not see the huge potential for abuse, intrusiveness and yes, denying treatment? You think they threw you an "opt out" bone. What if I told you the law allows them to penalize your doctor if you decide to opt out of the national healthcare database. Do you really think that doctor will keep you as a patient when there are 45 million new people wanting a doctor and he (not you) has to pay for your decision to opt out?

We be bitchin'
You be snitchin'.

We tend to save trillions in Europe by not getting involved in foreign wars and conflicts abroad and committing trillions on war efforts. We also do not spend trillions in space research. We also do not have the huge bonuses that many American companies pay for CEO's ect. We also cap damage payments that are paid out in health suits. We also have a much less expensive health service than the USA even though it treats 100% of the UK and has amazing treatments.
As you proved when you rushed into space to beat the Russians to the moon. You can find money if you really want to without bankrupting America.
I don't know how people think insurance premiums are high now, but don't see that unless there is REFORM the cost will be just as much, if not more.
If the Insurance companies win in scaring Americans away from a public health ststem you will be giving them permission to rape the country and the premiums will quadruple as there will be no real competition except themselves.
